Got the answer?
We have a dig team on standby ready to excavate the Aztec gold. All we need from you is the LANDMARK it is buried under. Enter the answer and we will send out the team to investigate!
Exhibit I
The thing that stands out to our team is the phrase: "Catch the fish"!
If that eagle is going to catch the fish you'll have to bring the two closer together.
Ah, we have it! When the page is folded so the Eagle grabs the fish a symbol is created next to it. This symbol matches one of the ones on the map. We're on our way!
Exhibit II
This one is curious. We are definitely looking for the "rich" symbol!
I think some of these symbols match.
Ah ha! If you match all the symbols only one remains. That has to be the symbol we're looking for.
Exhibit III
A snake's eye level? What on earth could that mean?
Snakes see things from very low down. It's quite a particular angle.
Tricky! But if you look along the red line from the correct angle you will see a symbol of a bird! This must one of the symbols we are looking for!
Exhibit IV
Hmmm. Riddles. Not one of my strong suits. Well, if experience tells me anything it's important to know who is lying and who is telling the truth.
The only animal we know is telling the truth is the fox as no other creature mentions him.
So if the fox is telling the truth the bird is lying. Which means the donkey is telling the truth after all! Phew... got there in the end!
Exhibit V
This part of the codex looks like it relates to the map pieces. We think the numbers on the cross mean something, though we can't think what.
The poem seems to relate a journey. When we find our starting place we can follow it!
I think we've cracked it! The cross at the top shows you how to put the map together. All the dots in the corners of the map must add up to 8 when pieced together. When that is done and only then the map is ready to use.
EXHIBIT vi
This map is in pieces. But how can we put it back together? We think the orange boxes with dots in the corner are the key to cracking this map!
Our latest research shows that Exhibit V will tell you how to put the map back together. It looks like it's something to do with the dots and what they add up to.
This one was quite tricky but we think we have it. As per Exhibit V, the dots in each orange box must add up to 8 when they are placed together. When all the connecting boxes add up to 8 (and only then) the map is in the right position and you can use the poem to trace the Aztec's journey.
We found all of the symbols and there was a positive match on the map! Our starting point must be DOG ROAD.
Having traced the journey in the poem across the map we arrive at EAGLE'S ROCK
